Fingal is a great place to stay on arrival at Dublin Airport, with a wealth of hotels within 15 minutes offering shuttle bus services. Or is an ancient castle more your style? Perhaps you fancy staying at a golf and country club – or some luxury glamping. Fingal has quite the choice!
Getting Here
If you fly into Dublin Airport – you’re already in Fingal. From Dublin city centre, Fingal is a short taxi ride or drive (18km to Swords). Coastal towns near Dublin are well served by the regular DART electric train and Irish Rail trains stop at the more northerly towns. The extensive public bus network travels to all corners of the region including heritage towns

Fingal has two Fáilte Ireland information kiosks, one at Malahide Castle and the second at Casino Model Railway Museum in Malahide. Small tourist information offices at Ardgillan Castle, Swords Castle, Howth Courthouse and Balbriggan offer a personal information service to visitors. Check opening hours in advance.
