The Rush Festival of Writing is a brand new literary festival by the sea in North County Dublin. Experience inspiring talks and workshops running all day from 10am to 8pm concluding with one of our greatest living authors John Banville.

Rush Festival of Writing is a vibrant new literary event bringing some of Ireland’s most celebrated writers to Rush for a day of inspiring conversations and community engagement.

Headline events include an exclusive interview with Booker Prize winner John Banville, alongside bestselling crime authors Catherine Ryan Howard and Andrea Mara; a creative writing workshops with celebrated novelist and playwright Belinda McKeon; discussions on the craft of writing with authors Sinéad Gleeson and Anna Carey; an interview with cultural luminary Eamon Carr of Horslips, plus a rich programme of free talks and children’s workshops designed to engage families and young readers.

Most events are free-of-charge (although reserving a ticket/place is necessary), with tickets for the evening events and creative writing workshop available.
