Howth Maritime and Seafood Festival
The Howth Maritime & Seafood Festival returns to Howth from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th May 2026, offering a vibrant weekend of food, music, and family-friendly entertainment in a scenic harbour setting. Festivities begin Friday evening, with events running from 12–6pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Celebrating Howth’s rich maritime heritage, the festival showcases fresh local seafood, live music, and interactive experiences for all ages. Visitors can enjoy seafood tastings, browse craft stalls, and soak up the lively atmosphere while supporting local businesses and artisans.
There is plenty for families, including a dedicated Funzone with inflatables and games, a circus tent with performances, kite workshops, and face painting. A quiet sensory space hosted by the Howth Sutton Autism Community provides a calm environment for those who need a break.
Food options include a seafood village, street food vendors, and family food courts, alongside a live DJ on the harbourfront. Entertainment continues with live music near the marina and engaging activities throughout the weekend.
The Howth Sea Angling Club will host educational exhibits, including aquariums with local sea life, angling displays, and guest talks on sustainable fishing practices.
Easily accessible by DART, bicycle, or nearby parking at Deerpark, the festival encourages sustainable travel. Visitors can also find assistance at the central information tent.
This much-loved event promises a lively celebration of community, culture, and the flavours of the sea, making it a highlight of Dublin’s summer calendar.
