Our April film here at TSEAC is the award winning French drama Holy Cow, winner of the Youth Award at Cannes, Un Certain Regard 2024.
Directed by Louise Courvoisier, this beautifully observed coming of age story follows 18 year old Totone, whose carefree days in the Jura region come to an abrupt end when he must care for his young sister and find a way to support them both.
His unlikely solution (entering the highly competitive world of Comté cheese production) leads to a heartfelt, humorous, and moving journey toward responsibility and identity.
