The Herb School – Wild Garlic Experience

11 April 2026
Learn to identify and forage wild garlic in woodland before enjoying homemade soup and fresh brown bread.

Forage for your own wild garlic and finish with a light lunch of wild garlic soup and brown bread at The Cottage Cafe, Naul.

Wild garlic is one of the most popular springtime native Irish herbs. It is tasty and versatile, easy to preserve and has a myriad of culinary uses and medicinal benefits. This workshop focuses on two varieties of wild garlic that are abundant in Ireland, ramsons, and triangular stalked garlic.

You will learn how to confidently identify both varieties and you will have an opportunity to forage for your own woodland ramsons to take home. We will finish up with a delicious bowl of wild garlic soup, and you will receive a comprehensive eBook on wild garlic with lots of original recipes.
